Overview:
In April 2021, the Canadian Product Stewardship Council hosted a panel discussion on the new approaches to Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) being developed in three provinces: Alberta, Ontario and Québec. Since that time, each province has advanced its work on new EPR programs, policies and regulations. Ontario has led the way with the implementation of its new Blue Box Regulation and the implementation of a competitive model for Producer Responsibility Organizations (PROs) in different product categories.
This webinar looks at how some producers are responding to the new regulatory environment. Each is taking a different path to the fulfilment of its EPR obligations, whether through the creation of new Producer Responsibility Organizations or through unique programs. It also offers insights into the challenges and choices faced by producers and policymakers when responding to alternate approaches across multiple jurisdictions. Far from getting smaller, the world of EPR is expanding, diversifying and becoming more ambitious, all at the same time.
Please join us on Wednesday, February 2 from 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. ET for an engaging, interactive webinar with industry leaders from Circular Materials, Cleanfarms and Canadian Tire Corporation.
